Providing a sense of direction by connecting young artists with advice and mentorship from those who have lived the artistic life is one of the NMAs foremost goals. Our Arts Education pieces will include hands-on activities for high school and college students in local arts programs, as well as workshops for artists about the business of public murals.

    ▪ Demonstration Murals – Visiting artists representing award winners from 2024 will collaborate with local artists and institutions to create a demonstration mural(s) to celebrate the 2025 National Mural Awards. The public works created will serve as a lasting legacy to the community’s commitment to artists as entrepreneurs.

    ▪ Mural Tours – Shining a light on the existing murals of our host city is a priority for the Award Celebration Week. Special tours will be mapped in partnership with cultural institution partners and existing tour operators.
